What are the different Minecraft server versions?
On our panel we offer several types of Minecraft server software. Besides these 4 there are also a few other well-known versions; here is an explanation of each.
- Paper - Paper is the next generation of Minecraft server software. It is compatible with Spigot plugins and offers the best performance. Paper is a so-called 'fork' of Spigot.
- Spigot - Spigot is the most widely used Minecraft server software in the world. Spigot is a modified version of CraftBukkit with hundreds of improvements and optimizations
- Vanilla - The Vanilla software is the unmodified Minecraft server software created directly by Mojang. This version does not support plugins.
- Purpur - Purpur is a fork of Paper and Tuinity that aims to provide new and interesting configuration options, allowing you to create a unique gameplay experience not seen anywhere else.
- Forge - Forge is the version for mod(s)(packs). It lets you play with virtually any mod!
