How do I update my Palworld server to 1.0?
Palworld 1.0 launched on 10 July 2026: the full release with the World Tree endgame, new Pals and the end of early access. The update is free — and on an MC-Node server there is almost nothing you need to do.
Updating = restarting
- Make a backup of your world first, just to be safe. See How do I make a backup?
- Go to the game panel, open your Palworld server and press Restart.
- On boot the server automatically pulls the latest version from Steam. For a big update this takes a few minutes — you can follow the progress in the console.
- Done! Your world and players carry over; 1.0 works with existing early-access worlds.
Players see "version mismatch"?
Then the server is already on 1.0 but their own game is not. Have them update Palworld through Steam or the Xbox app; after that they can join again.
Prefer not to update yet?
That works temporarily, but players on the latest client will no longer be able to join. We recommend moving to 1.0 — every future patch builds on it.
