How do I add a logo to my FiveM server in the server list?

In the FiveM server list, every server has a square logo on the left. Without your own logo, FiveM shows a default image, and in a list of thousands of servers a recognisable icon is one of the few things that make you stand out. The logo is set with one line in server.cfg and a PNG of 96 by 96 pixels.

Step 1: create the logo

• Size: 96 × 96 pixels, exactly. Other sizes are ignored.
• File type: PNG; transparency is allowed.
• Keep it simple: at 96 pixels text is barely readable. A letter, a symbol or your server's emblem works better than a full logo with a slogan.
• File name without spaces, for example serverlogo.png.

Step 2: edit server.cfg

1. Log in to the panel and click your server.
2. Click Files and open server.cfg.
3. Scroll to the line # Loading a server icon (96x96 PNG file) with #load_server_icon myLogo.png below it.
4. Remove the # and put the name of your file in: load_server_icon serverlogo.png.
5. Save the file.

If the line is not there, add it yourself; the position in the file does not matter, as long as it is not inside another setting.

Step 3: upload the logo

1. Go back to Files, to the folder that contains server.cfg.
2. Upload your PNG and check that the name matches what is in server.cfg exactly (case-sensitive).
3. Restart the server.

Step 4: check

Open the server list in FiveM and look up your server. The list refreshes with a delay: it can take several minutes before Cfx.re picks up the new logo. If you see the logo in the F8 console when joining but not in the list, it is just a matter of waiting.

The logo does not show

• Wrong size. Check the dimensions in the file's properties; it must be exactly 96 × 96. The server console reports Server icon ... is not 96x96 at start-up if it is not.
• Wrong name or folder. The file must be in the same folder as server.cfg and have exactly the name from the line.
• The line still starts with #. A line beginning with # is a comment and is ignored.
• Not a real PNG. A renamed JPG does not work; export it as PNG again.
• Server not in the list. Without a listing there is no logo to see either; see why is my server not in the server list.

Also set the server name and description

Besides the logo, the server name (sv_hostname), the project name and description (sv_projectName and sv_projectDesc) and the tags (sets tags) decide how your server appears in the list.
