In PDC2 you connect to the MC-Node network: our own AS211750. DDoS protection via PletX is available, so attacks are filtered before they reach your rack. We are also present at Nikhef in Amsterdam.

    Together we agree on how and when your hardware goes into the rack.

    Online and in control

    Your server goes online. From then on you manage everything in your client panel, and you request remote hands whenever you need them.

What is colocation?

You place your own server or network equipment in a rack in a professional data centre. We take care of the space, power, cooling and network connection. The hardware stays yours.

What's included in a package in Hengelo?

Rack space, power via an A and B feed and network ports on our switches. How much power, which ports and how many IP addresses you get is listed with each package.

What does 0.5 A of power mean?

That's what your equipment may draw at 230 volts. 0.5 A is about 115 watts, or roughly 84 kWh per month. Need more? Then we'll expand your power. Not sure? Send us your server model and we'll work it out for you.

Why A and B power?

If your server has two power supplies, we connect them to two separate feeds. If one fails, your server simply keeps running on the other.

Am I tied to a contract?

Colocation up to 8U is ordered on a monthly basis, just like our other services. For larger packages and a full rack, we agree on the term in the quote.

Is there DDoS protection?

In Hengelo, DDoS protection via PletX is available. You manage filters per IP address in your client panel. For Amsterdam (AMS5), we discuss the network in your quote.

Can I get extra IP addresses?

Yes. Extra single addresses, a block or your own /24 are available on request. You can also bring your own IP space (BYOIP).

How do I get to my hardware?

PDC2 is accessible 24/7. Access goes through the data centre's access list, with valid ID. How this works for your package is agreed when you order. Rather not make the trip yourself? Request remote hands via your client panel.

What's the difference between Hengelo and Amsterdam?

In Hengelo you connect to our own network, DDoS protection via PletX is available and you can order up to 8U directly. AMS5 near Schiphol is a carrier-neutral data centre with an AMS-IX point of presence in the building, handy if you want your own transit or peering. There we work on request.
