Yes, Build 42 with multiplayer has been stable since 29 July 2026. Our servers run the latest stable version by default and updating takes just one click in the panel.

Q: Why does single-thread performance matter for Zomboid?

The Project Zomboid server largely runs on a single CPU core, so more cores don't help much. Fast per-core clock speed is what counts. That's why we run on our own AMD hardware with NVMe storage, so your server stays responsive even with lots of zombies and players.
